CERE is in the process of establishing an ERC in Mumbai and has been designed to be a vibrant hub which citizens can visit to learn more on a range of environmental issues. The ERC will contain a well-stocked library of resource material in all areas related to the environment such as waste management, environmental education, water, pollution, biodiversity, law and in all formats, including books, journals, reports, audio-visuals, teaching kits, etc.

The ERC besides being a physical resource place, will also have an outreach arm that will work towards increasing awareness about the environment and sustainability activities, through running training courses on environmental education; providing educational support to schools and colleges; providing outreach to the wider community through smaller projects; organizing regular lectures, seminars and workshops; providing support to other organisations and people in the environmental field.

Our aim is for the ERC to be the catalyst for raising awareness and interacting with the urban community in order to address local environmental concerns and encourage proactivism on environmental issues.
